In January 2007 my move to Kansas from Colorado involved a series of travels. The property in Colorado is still in my possession and  there are still a large number of farming items that are on the property. My routine is to visit and gather items about twice each year, when there is some time and money for the 1200 mile round trip.

On April 26, 2008, on my way back to Kansas there was a noticeable cloud of dark smoke coming from the back of my Mazda Pickup as it was moving about 75mph on Hwy 70 East. Thinking the engine was faulty, the cruise control was released and the speed dropped. Looking back, the cloud dropped back very fast and eventually fell back and attached itself to the upper smokestack of a diesel truck. My speed was increased to about 80, to make sure it wasn't an engine problem, but the cloud was notably attached to the diesel well behind me.

My speed was reduced to a normal 75, and the diesel was observed as it slowly approached and passed me. The cloud on the stack was extra darkened as it was attached, and the diesel went several hundred yards ahead before the cloud detached as the diesel went under a rural overpass. The cloud followed alongside the diesel for a while, and then dropped back slowly. and even went to the other side of the highway for a while, raising up and over oncoming traffic, but it still traveled the same direction. This was quite a ways ahead of me at this point, but my intentions were to get a photo if it got closer.

This is the cloud, a semi dark parachute shape is seen, and this is not a smudge on my windshield.

This thing is constantly dancing around, going about 20 feet high at times, but normally about 5 to 10 feet high.

The remarkable things are that it never changed shape or size when it was behind the truck or in front of me. It looks larger as it gets closer, and only partially visible at times. It never rotated or leaned in any direction or changed it's shape. The color would change from dark black as it attached to the diesel, and tan as it created a whirlwind that touched the ground, drawing up dust.

In these shots, it was about 50 to 70 yards ahead of my truck and maintaining speed almost exactly to mine.

Notice as we went under another cloud's shadow, the image is more definable. The photo on the right is my closest and darkest image of the cloud, So the original 300kb photo is linked if you click the right image #20.

All these photos are originally 1600 x 1200 pixels, but were reduced to 450 x 337 to place on this web page. That is the only alterations of these photos.

This sequence of images were taken over a period of at least three minutes. The total time that this was observed was about fifteen or twenty minutes, but not all that time was in front of the truck. It also took time to get my camera out of a bag while driving.

The image seemed to get further ahead after a while, and finally went higher and dropped off into the East as the highway veered slightly northward. Only the second photo had a mile marker 377 that was readable, so this is between Genoa mm 371 and Arriba mm 383, about 70 miles before the Kansas border.

More of the same object, and note that the image was barely visible on my 2-inch camera screen, so I was not sure if anything could be seen on these photos using one hand with auto focus and shooting through a windshield while bouncing down the highway and driving.

Here is a shot on the right, where the mile marker is obscured by the whirling dust. click on the right photo for a 300kb image of #30. It vaguely looks like the mile marker is #380, the Limon exit is about mile marker 358 and the border of Colorado / Kansas is mile marker 450.

With about 500 miles left in the trip, there was a lot to consider of what to expect next. About 200 miles later, near Hays Kansas was a large storm that may have had a tornado. Several of the oncoming cars were flashing their headlights as the storm got closer, but the heaviest part stayed to the south of my travels.

A very wise feedback is noted here, when a colleague was asked of their honest opinion. Their advice is taken and this web page did not go public, by retaining a private link only to this page. But after several other notable people read the article, they insisted that this is a valid display of a true sighting, and should have public access.

Hello Steve. Thank you for sharing your observations with me.

In my opinion, very very few people will see this observation without severe scrutiny. Publishing it to your website will only add to the "proof" that you are "one of those UFO hillbillies" and that your theories that contradict the church are rubbish.

That's what the world does with truth. 

What I believe personally is that you were able to catch an entity, good or bad, on your camera. These spiritual elements reveal themselves or perhaps the people that understand that the other planes of life happening are able to see such things. I haven't figured out all the details yet. I know I have witnessed spiritual signs and things that would qualify me to the world, as nuts.

What to do with this information? That's a tough call. Personally, I sit and wait to share information. And this is why: evangelism is now completely upside down. The process use to be to "go out and make disciples". Today, my theory is that potential disciples will seek truth. They will seek out people with evidence, people who can share truth that matters.
 

I believe the way in which God is making this happen is in the unraveling of the earth. Every day more people awaken confused in a dark world that gets darker with every passing moment. People are scared. People are releasing their attachment to the bullshit of a world that clearly will not last as it is. So, I wait for people who join me on my path. I wait for people to ask, avoiding the "pearls to swine" experience altogether. 

What to do with your scientific research....
 

I believe that is an individual choice. You may choose to share this observation. It reads quickly and easily. A person of any age or background could grasp it. The pictures are clear and leave the reader with personal choice. With the exception of the last line in bold, a reference from the book of Daniel, you appear to have no real agenda. (The Daniel reference has been removed)

Publishing this piece on your website may compromise your credibility and also be used against you. If your agenda is to sell your book, I would wait.
